Our project ECHO: Expressive Cultural Harmony Oasis aimed to create an inclusive and creative space where young people could connect, share, and actively contribute to the well-being of their community. We wanted to foster intercultural understanding, solidarity, and active citizenship by bringing together youth from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities. Through music, art, and cultural activities, participants were encouraged to express themselves, exchange ideas, and build mutual respect based on shared European values such as dignity, equality, and nondiscrimination.
Our whole project was built around a big, exciting idea: the "Youth Arts Festival"! We didn't just want to run one or two events; we planned a whole year of activities that we, as young people, would design and lead from start to finish. Our plan was to create a real buzz in our community and bring everyone together. The heart of our plan was a series of creative and cultural activities. We planned to host vibrant music and art workshops where anyone could join in, learn new skills, and just have fun expressing themselves. A big part of this was our plan to collaborate with local artists, so we could learn from professionals and make our festival even more special. We also planned a big "Arts Showcase" where we could exhibit all the amazing things we created and celebrate the local talent in our town.
